India’s leading information security leader, Rajesh Hemrajani has joined Paytm Payments Bank as CISO. Before joining Paytm, he was the CISO for IDFC First Payment Bank.
During his three years CISO tenure with IDFC First Bank, Hemrajani was responsible for leading the development of bank’s IT security strategy and implementation roadmap and ensuring its integration with the overall IT and enterprise strategic plans.
According to Hemrajani’s LinkedIn profile, he joined Paytm Payments Bank in March 2020. With over 28 years of extensive experience that he brings to the table, he will play a key role in driving the company’s overall IT security, risk and compliance strategy.
In the past he has held key leadership positions in leading organizations, including RBS where he was Head of IT Security for India region and Nomura Securities where he served as Vice President.
Hemrajani is well known and respected in India’s IT security circles for his multi-cultural management and operational experience in framing corporate information and cyber security policies, procedures, setting security standards for IT Infrastructure, risk assessment process, processes for running successful operations, developing Business Continuity Plans and service standards.
