Mihir Joshi has joined HDFC Life and will be Chief Information Security Officer for Pension Management and HDFC International Life & Re. Both the companies are subsidiaries of HDFC Life group.
Prior to this move, Joshi was serving as AVP and Head – Cyber Security at Ares Operations India. Before joining Ares in July 2019, he was AVP and CISO at DSP Mutual Fund.
In his new role, Joshi will be responsible for the management of operations and administration of various IT security devices, solutions, technologies and processes deployed to enhance the security posture for HDFC Life, HDFC Pension and HDFC Life Re.
His responsibility also includes ensuring continuous monitoring, implementation and sustenance of requirements for ISO 27001 certification, PCI DSS & other regulatory requirements on information and cybersecurity mandated by IRDAI, NCIPC, Cert-In, etc.
At Ares, he was instrumental in providing visionary leadership to the team and helping build the cybersecurity and GRC practice for Ares India. During his three years stint with DSP Mutual Fund he was in a leadership role that spanned across strategizing new strategies pertaining to IS and also helped establish the IS and Governance practice for the fund house.
Joshi has over 12 years of experience and expertise in successfully coordinating full-cycle organizational IS processes, including IS strategy, implementations, Data Privacy Protection, and secure architecture and design.
